The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is one of the most prestigious and authoritative ballet education and examination systems in the world. With a history spanning over a century, RAD’s curriculum is implemented in more than 85 countries worldwide. The examination system ranges from beginner to professional levels, emphasizing a dancer’s technique, musicality, performance, and overall artistic development.

RAD ballet examinations are not only a recognized certification of a dancer’s progress but also serve as a powerful motivation for continuous improvement. They are suitable for dancers of all ages and skill levels.

Benefits of Holding an RAD Certificate

With an RAD certificate, you can seamlessly continue your RAD ballet training in any country.

Certificates from Grade 6 to Grade 8 are recognized as equivalent to the A-Level (General Certificate of Education Advanced Level), a UK-based qualification accepted by thousands of universities in over 150 countries.

When applying to international universities, holding RAD qualifications can help you earn extra academic credits and may also increase your chances of receiving scholarships.

Examination Schedule

RAD ballet examinations at our studio are generally held in the second half of each year, with specific dates arranged by the local RAD representative office. Students should begin preparing several months in advance and must complete registration approximately six months prior to the examination date.
